Banks and financial institutions across Pakistan will remain closed for public dealing on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, due to the annual bank holiday.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the closure will apply to all banks, development finance institutions and microfinance banks. However, employees of these institutions will attend offices as usual.
Public dealing, including branch-based banking services, will remain suspended for the day. Customers have been advised to plan their banking transactions accordingly before the holiday.
The July 1 bank holiday is observed at the start of the new fiscal year. Regular banking services are expected to resume from the next working day.
