Petrol Price Cut by Rs. 4, Diesel by Rs. 2 per Litre From June 13

The federal government has reduced petroleum prices, cutting petrol by Rs. 4 per litre and high-speed diesel by Rs. 2 per litre, with the revised rates taking effect from June 13, 2026.

After the latest adjustment, the new ex-depot price of petrol stands at Rs373.78 per litre, down from Rs377.78 per litre. High-speed diesel has been reduced to Rs. 378.78 per litre, compared with the previous price of Rs. 380.78 per litre.

The price revision is expected to provide limited relief to consumers, especially daily commuters, motorcyclists, private vehicle owners, and transport operators.

Petrol is widely used by motorcycles, cars, and small commercial vehicles, while high-speed diesel is mainly used in heavy transport, agriculture machinery, buses, trucks, and goods carriers. Any change in diesel prices can influence freight costs and public transport expenses.

The latest reduction comes as fuel prices continue to be reviewed in line with international oil market trends and exchange-rate movements. Petroleum prices remain a key concern for households and businesses because they directly affect travel costs, logistics, and the price of essential goods.

For consumers, the lower rates may slightly reduce fuel expenses, though the overall impact will depend on transport fares, market supply costs, and future government price reviews.
