On directives from the Prime Minister, Pakistan’s NDMA has dispatched its 23rd relief consignment to Palestine, continuing Islamabad’s humanitarian aid to Gaza. This Pakistan aid to Palestine effort underscores the country’s ongoing humanitarian effort and solidarity with displaced civilians.

The latest aid consignment carries 100 tonnes of essential supplies, departing from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, via a special chartered flight. In previous instances, similar shipments have also left from Karachi and been routed through Jordan for onward delivery to Gaza.

Inside this relief package, the Pakistan humanitarian aid includes ration bags containing flour, rice, cooking oil, canned fruits, chickpeas, and ready-to-eat meals. Over time, these shipments have also carried powdered milk, tinned meat, hygiene kits, blankets, tents, and sleeping bags to meet urgent needs.

An NDMA spokesperson confirmed that since the start of its relief operations, Pakistan has now sent 2,227 tonnes of aid across 23 relief consignments. Some sources cite a cumulative total of 1,803 tonnes delivered to Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria so far.

At the dispatch ceremony, provincial dignitaries praised the joint efforts of NDMA and the Al‑Khidmat Foundation, which handles logistics on the ground. Officials reiterated that Pakistan supports Palestine in both moral and practical terms and will continue to provide humanitarian relief in response to evolving needs.

This 23rd shipment reinforces Pakistan’s steady track record in humanitarian diplomacy regarding the Gaza Strip. Over the past several months, Pakistan has consistently sent aid to support Palestinians caught in the middle of an escalating humanitarian crisis. The government’s commitment, in collaboration with organisations like NDMA and Al-Khidmat Foundation, reflects a clear and continued stance on standing with oppressed communities.

As the conflict continues to cause widespread displacement, food shortages, and healthcare emergencies, each consignment plays a crucial role in addressing immediate survival needs. These relief efforts contribute directly to improving food security, providing emergency shelter, and offering basic medical support to vulnerable populations, especially women, children, and the elderly, who have been severely affected by the ongoing violence in Gaza.

Pakistan’s continued dispatch of aid also signals its broader diplomatic message: that humanitarian support should transcend politics, and that solidarity with oppressed peoples remains a core value of its foreign policy.
