Gaza / Jerusalem The Israel-Gaza war has entered a new and deadly phase after Israel’s defense minister declared that “Gaza is burning.” Heavy Israeli airstrikes have hit several areas of Gaza, destroying homes, markets, and infrastructure, while casualties continue to rise.

Israel’s Latest Strikes on Gaza

The Israeli military carried out dozens of strikes across Gaza overnight. Officials in Tel Aviv said the attacks were aimed at Hamas command centers, weapons stores, and tunnels.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant made a strong statement, saying: “Gaza is burning. Hamas will face the full force of the Israeli military.”

Palestinian health officials reported that many civilians, including women and children, were among the dead. Thousands of people have been forced to leave their homes, seeking safety in schools, mosques, and temporary shelters.

Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza

The conflict has created a severe humanitarian crisis. Hospitals in Gaza are overwhelmed with injured patients and face shortages of medicine, power, and medical supplies. Doctors warn they cannot handle the growing number of casualties.

Water, food, and electricity supplies are running dangerously low. Entire neighborhoods remain in darkness after power stations were damaged. The United Nations has appealed for safe humanitarian access, warning that civilians are paying the highest price in this war.

Eyewitnesses describe heartbreaking scenes of families searching through rubble for survivors. “The destruction is everywhere,” said one Gaza resident.

Global and Regional Reactions

The war in Gaza has triggered strong global reactions. The United Nations and European Union have called for an immediate ceasefire, while the United States urged restraint.

Arab nations, including Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, condemned Israel’s military actions. Pakistan also strongly criticized the bombardment, demanding urgent international action to protect Palestinian civilians.

On social media, hashtags such as #GazaUnderAttack, #StandWithPalestine, and #PrayForGaza are trending in Pakistan and across the world, showing public anger and solidarity with the people of Gaza.
