How Pakistanis can get an electric bike for Rs. 2,100

Pakistanis can now apply for an electric bike through the federal government’s PAVE programme, where monthly installments may start from around Rs. 2,100 depending on the approved model, subsidy, financing structure and bank assessment.

The scheme is part of Pakistan’s wider push to make electric transport more affordable for students, workers, delivery riders and low-income commuters facing high fuel and transport costs.

Under the programme, eligible applicants can receive government-backed support for electric two-wheelers. The financing process is handled through partner banks, while the payment is made directly to the approved electric vehicle manufacturer.

The government support includes a subsidy component for electric bikes, reducing the overall cost for successful applicants. After approval, the bank processes the subsidized loan and the bike is delivered through the selected manufacturer.

Successful applicants are expected to complete bank verification before the loan is approved. Once the financing is processed, payment is sent to the manufacturer and delivery is arranged according to the scheme timeline.
