Pakistan is expected to remain in the grip of hot and humid weather, with plain areas likely to face another uncomfortable spell of high daytime temperatures and increased moisture in the air.
Weather conditions are likely to remain harsh in several parts of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while isolated rain, wind and thunderstorms may bring temporary relief in some northern and hilly areas.
The latest weather pattern shows that most parts of the country will continue to experience hot and dry conditions. However, partly cloudy weather and isolated rain are possible in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and nearby mountainous regions.
In Punjab, several major cities are expected to remain hot during the day. Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad and nearby districts may continue to face high temperatures, especially during afternoon hours. Islamabad and surrounding areas may also remain warm, with chances of partly cloudy weather and isolated wind or thunderstorm activity.
Sindh is also likely to remain hot in most districts. Interior Sindh may experience very high temperatures, while Karachi is expected to remain comparatively lower in temperature but humid because of sea moisture. The humidity may make the weather feel warmer than the actual temperature, particularly during the day and early evening.
Parts of Balochistan are also expected to remain hot and dry, especially in plain and southern areas. Some districts may see partly cloudy conditions with chances of isolated rain and gusty winds.
Health experts usually advise people to avoid unnecessary outdoor movement during peak heat hours, especially between noon and late afternoon. Outdoor workers, children, elderly people and people with health conditions are at greater risk of heat-related illness during such weather.
Residents have been advised to drink enough water, wear light clothing, avoid direct sunlight where possible and take breaks in shaded or cooler places. People should also watch for signs of dehydration, dizziness, headache, weakness and heat exhaustion.
The ongoing hot and humid spell comes as Pakistan moves closer to the active monsoon period. Rain activity may increase in some parts of the country in the coming days, but until then, daytime heat and humidity are expected to remain a major concern across many areas.
